Our Packaging Pact | Sustainability

Every ManSand package is chosen to be reused, recycled, or repurposed. We work to keep plastic to a minimum — and we work with partners to source ingredients responsibly and reduce our footprint over time. This is where we account for that.
Our Packaging Pact & Sustainability

Plant-powered, where possible — and scientifically backed, where it matters. We strive to make every component either naturally derived or scientifically validated for purpose. The majority are plant-based. Where science offers a better answer — a more stable active, a more effective preservative — we use it. We source through partners who meet our standards on origin, purity, and practice. ECOCERT-compliant preservation throughout. No sulfates. No paraffin. No synthetic dyes. No fillers.Every ingredient is in here for a reason.
Ethical Formulations

The tin is aluminum — endlessly recyclable, built to outlast what's inside it. The exterior box is recycled paperboard: paper-based, no plastic, recyclable. It protects the tin in transit. Where a component has no plastic-free equivalent that actually performs — a pump, a seal — we use the least we can. And we tell you it's there. When the full ritual system launches, the set ships with a molded pulp insert — compressed wood fiber, shaped to hold all three products without foam or plastic padding.
Packaging

Packaging designed with one question in mind: what happens to this after? Three priorities guide every decision: Reduce Less material where it can be less. The tin holds 13 ounces — sized to last, not to look larger on a shelf. The box is sized to fit, securing the tin. Refill and Reuse The refill system is built around a single pump. Your first bottle ships with it. Every refill ships without — because you already have one. Transfer it. Refill it. The pump outlasts the product. That's the point. Recycle and Repurpose Aluminum is endlessly recyclable without loss of quality. The tin goes back. The paperboard box goes back. The refill bottle goes back. Use the pump until it gives out — not until the bottle is empty.
Circularity

We're not going to claim a carbon number we can't verify or a sustainability percentage we can't hold. Those claims are easy to make and hard to mean. What we can say: every material decision starts with this question — what happens to this after? We build with partners who source and produce responsibly. We're honest about what's still plastic, and why. We're building toward a system where the packaging outlasts the product in a meaningful way — not the way plastic does. That's the pact.
